Sew Contempo has been a prominent sewing center, sewing machine dealer, and quilt store in the Clear Lake/NASA area for over 28 years. New owner Terri Ann Garvey grew up around sewing and quilting and is thrilled to be in this business. Sew Contempo was founded 28 years ago by a gentle, elegant lady named, Marsha Henshaw. Marsha was joined in the business by her husband, Gerry Henshaw; who has many years of experience in sewing machine sales and service. Together, they built Sew Contempo into the friendly, successful store that it is today. All of this was done with the support of a wonderful, talented staff and teachers who offer excellent “after-sales service” to every customer. Marsha and Gerry are still involved in the business supporting the Sew Contempo staff to be able to provide the best possible customer service. Sew Contempo is a complete sewing and quilting center with thousands of bolts of fabric and accessories for all of the newest sewing interests, as well as 4 brands of sewing machines. In the sewing machine department are machines at all price points from the basic trade-ins to the super machines that sew and embroider with designs generated at a home computer.

Sew Contempo now at 18203 Egret Bay Blvd., is even bigger and better than before! We now have space for two (2) classrooms, more fabrics, irons, and more.
